What is this survey about? We want to find the top 10 questions that patients, carers, and healthcare professionals have about the use of digital technology to prevent and manage heart disease and heart conditions. We will publish the results so that researchers and research funders know what the most important questions are. Who can take part? - Adults diagnosed with a heart condition or heart disease.
- Adults who give support and care to those diagnosed with a heart condition or heart disease.
- Healthcare professionals who give support to those diagnosed with a heart condition or heart disease.
Only those aged 18 and over who live in the UK or Republic of Ireland can take part. What is involved? Earlier in the year, we asked people to tell us what they thought were important questions about digital technology and heart health. Based on what they told us, we have created a list of 42 questions. In part 1, we ask you to choose your top 10 most important questions from our list of 42 questions about digital technology and heart health. In part 2, we ask you to give some information about yourself. This information will be used to help us understand if the survey reaches a wide audience and to target any groups where we think that we do not have enough responses. You can choose not to answer these questions. The survey should only take 10 – 15 minutes . What will we do with the results? The results of this survey will be used to create a list of the top 20 questions. We will then hold an online workshop with a group of patients and health care professionals who volunteer to take part via the Digital Health for Heart Health website. They will choose the top 10 questions together. You can volunteer to take part in the workshop via the website, but you do not have to. Who is running this survey? Edinburgh Napier University and Robert Gordon University are running the survey with help from the James Lind Alliance. Do you need to contact our team? If you need to get in touch with the team, you can do so at DigitalHeart@napier.ac.uk. Agreeing to take part By completing this survey, you are agreeing to your responses being included in the decision-making process about future heart health research. You can keep up to date with the progress of the project on our website at Home - Digital Heart PSP (napier.ac.uk) Participant information statement Involvement in this survey is voluntary and completion of the survey assumes consent. You can stop taking part at any time. Your answers will be anonymous and can't be used to identify you. You only fill out the survey once. Your data will be kept safely in a protected computer file.
